How to Find a Job During a Recession

How to Find a Job During a Recession

3 Episodes

The normal rules for being hired are out. We live in a world where traveling is virtually impossible, which places a pause on in-person interviews. Companies are retrenching employees in double-digit percentages and placing additional demands on employees who remain. Those remaining employees don’t have the time, resources nor motivation to review a surge in applications, let alone ask for an exemption to hire someone.

We present a case study of Amy, an ex-BCG consultant, and the process we developed for her to be hired in this unusual environment where the normal rules of being hired no longer apply.

We discuss the paperwork you need, where to apply, whom to contact, which parts of a company to target, how to write an introduction letter and the strategy for running the first email interactions and telephone interviews. We also talk through the tactics to discuss remuneration.

This program is based on the experiences of our most successful clients whom we have mentored through many similar situations.
